What a week!!!

We had a fabulous time at The Great British Craft Show over the weekend, and thank everyone who visited our stand to watch Francoise and myself demonstrate our stuff.  Francoise was a huge hit with everyone that stopped by and they obviously loved her new designs as we sold out far too quickly (sorry about that, my fault for not taking enough to the show, tut, tut, tut at myself), it is really hard to judge in advance how much stock to take of stamps and accessories, sorry that I got it wrong for any of you but you can always order them from our website. There's plenty in stock and available!!!!

Thank you to all that had faith in my demos and bought the Stampendous products too, I know you will have great fun using them, I loved hearing your feedback and the ideas for projects you had in mind for using more of them.

We know that you LOVED our bargains at the show, they were very good weren't they?  Thank you for your purchases that allowed us to go home with all those empty crates :)  I think we all got a good deal on that!!

It was my birthday on Friday (setting up day), and I thoroughly enjoyed my day, (I got lovely cards and pressies :) ). Over the weekend I got to meet people who I chat to online but have never met which was so lovely, and it was great to meet up with old friends at the show too, Carol and Alan who are our very special cuddly groupies had also travelled down for the show, we were both so pleased to meet up with you both again, it's always lovely to see and chat to you both :)

In the last few minutes of the show Adam came round and took some photos of the show at our end of the hall, I was having a bit of a tidy up but Ian had decided to dig into a packet of crisps before we packed it all up.  On spying Adam with a camera, Ian was unsuccessfully heading away...

Well, I thought things were busy towards the end of last week as we prepared for the show and at the show itself but this week, on our return, it has been SO manic...

We managed to catch up on most of the website orders on Monday and got them in the post.  Our Hamish was picked up from the kennels, washing done and dried, van unloaded etc, etc...

Since then, our world has gone mad again, busy busy busy, like you wouldn't believe!!!!

Back to it all again today, will post about it as soon as...

The Great British Craft Festival - Stoneleigh Park - This weekend!!!

Well, we are all packed up ready to set off early tomorrow for the show set up.

As we've been packing it all I've been getting more and more excited about the show.  I am really pleased with all the wonderful new stamps and accessories we have with us from Woodware Craft Collection, Stampendous and the cuties from House Mouse that Stampendous are now manufacturing.

Some of you may have seen Fran Seiford, owner from Stampendous on the live Create and Craft TV show from Las Vegas recently.  Initially, some of the designs were exclusive to Create and Craft and we are so pleased that they are now on general release and we will have those exclusives with us as well as many others from the new range.  We will add these extra House Mouse designs to our website on our return from the show.

If you are able to attend the show you will find a montage of some of the new designs from Stampendous and House Mouse on boards to help with inspiration.  There are many card ideas that have been made by the Stampendous design team that you will find on our website when viewing most of the new stamps.  You will find them all on our website HERE

I love this stamp, Stampendous - Chin Up - House Mouse Cling Rubber - HMCP03

As I mentioned before, Francoise Read will be demonstrating her new stamps on our stand H4, she will also be holding make and takes that you will need to book when you arrive at the show.

I will be demonstrating with Stampendous products, we have the 3 new colour sets as well, so things will be very sparkly!!

I'll post again tomorrow to briefly tell you about something else we have with us at the show.

If you are coming to the show, please do come and say hello.

Thanks for visiting

Reminder - Francoise Read on Create and Craft TV - 1pm TODAY!!

I'm really looking forward to watching Francoise on her first show on Create and Craft TV today.

I hope to nip back from our unit for lunchtime to watch.  We are packing for the show at Stoneleigh Park at our unit today, so it's a busy, busy day!!

Francoise will not be showing this stamp on the TV show but we will have it at the show at the weekend along with many others from the new catalogue plus some designs from previous Woodware catalogues from Francoise and Jane Gill.  We have lots of sample cards for inspiration too.

Well, better get on!

A couple more cards from the new Woodware Craft Collection catalogue

A quick post this morning with a couple of cards I have made with another of Francoise's new stamps - Woodware Tall Vase Clear Magic Singles FRS303.  There are wording stamps included with this stamp too.  The stamp design fits well on a DL sized card.

I used the With Love wording on the card above and shaped it to fit the shape of the vase before stamping onto the card.

I then coloured the image with pencils and inks, (the inks match the background panel made using a stencil). I placed double sided sticky sheet over the entire main panel and covered it in glitter.  I added dimension with glossy accents to various areas, including the vase.  I sprinkled Stampendous Champagne glitter glass into the glossy accents on the vase to add a different texture element.

I finished it off with a wrap of green and white Woodware twine.

It does look better in real life, the glitter and dimension do not show in the photo.

I paper pieced this card adding another of the wording stamps as a panel at the side.

All the products used can be found on our website HERE

Another new stamp design from Francoise Read

You may know that Francoise has designed many stamps in her 'huge' range of words for the Woodware Craft Collection and this is another great addition to that range.

It is Woodware Huge Fishing Clear Magic Single FRS245.

I found out from Francoise yesterday that her first show on Create and Craft TV is this Thursday at 1pm and, as I mentioned before, Francoise will be demonstrating on our stand at the Great British Craft Festival on Saturday and Sunday.  She will also be holding make and takes on both days, I believe you have to book to attend these when you arrive at the show.

Ian and I have been busy packing bargain packs for the show, so far we've packed papers, ribbons, brads, buttons, and eyelets.  If you are attending the show do call and see us, we will also have a great selection of Woodware and Stampendous stamps with us and amazing prices on mica products.

Our stand is H4, (Block C), opposite the large seating area

Well, better get on, loads to do today.

Exciting news...

I did say this morning that I would be back with some exciting news later.

I mentioned earlier about Francoise Read demonstrating on our stand at the Great British Craft Festival next weekend.  Well, the exciting news is that Francoise will be on Create and Craft TV for the first time on Thursday.  Hurray!!!

Francoise will be demonstrating some of her stamps from the Woodware Craft Collection, not the design above though, (I just picked this to show typical Francoise style, it's another new one Woodware Patch Reindeer Clear Magic Singles FRS249)

Unfortunately I do not have the time of the show yet and at the time of writing it isn't listed on the schedule on the Create and Craft website but I will share it as soon as I know.

I hope you will be able to watch or record the show, and an email to the show would be lovely too ;)

Good luck Francoise, hope you have a great show!!

The Great British Craft Show with Francoise Read

Good morning!!

We are so delighted and excited that Francoise Read, a designer for Woodware Craft Collection Clear Magic stamps, will be demonstrating her new stamps on our stand at The Great British Craft Show at Stoneleigh Park on 10th/11th August.

Our stand number is H4, (opposite the seating area). Francoise will also be holding 2 workshops during the weekend.

If you are visiting the show, please do stop by and meet up with Francoise and say hello to her.  I know you will really enjoy watching her card making style, she is such a talented card maker and she quietly creates beautiful cards.  Whether it be her paper piecing or colouring, I always love watching Francoise create her cards.

The card above was made with Woodware Christmas Hoot Clear Magic Singles FRS142, I love this new winter version of her owl design from the previous collection

Francoise has many wonderful new stamps that can be used all year round and also designs for autumn and winter, you will find them HEREalong with new designs by Jane Gill, for the Woodware Craft Collection range of stamps.

Thanks for stopping by

PS:  I will be back later on with some exciting news...

New from Stampendous - Victrola

Back to the new Stampendous stamps today.  I love these 2 cards made by Kristine Reynolds, a Stampendous design team member.  Kristine has used the new Silver Encrusted Jewel kit on the card below and I really like the combination of using burgundy and silver/grey together.  The background stamps go so well with the main image.  The music background is an older design but the jingle music wave stamp is also new.

I wish that the true sparkle of this kit showed in this photo!!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend!

New from Woodware, a couple more simple inspirational wording cards

Continuing on from yesterday's card I thought I'd show a couple more cards with the new wording stamps by Francoise.  I've used them as the main image for both of these cards but they would be great for inserts, bookmarks, journalling, scrap booking etc.

After the weather changed again yesterday, I'm feeling the joy of using bright happy colours.

This stamp is great as it is but you could easily cut and use the words separately and even mix and match them with other wording and font styles.

Both cards are 6" x 4". I used watercolour card for the main water coloured background that gives a lovely texture.  On the 2nd card I lifted some of wet watercolour paint off with kitchen towel to create a cloud effect, so simple to do but makes a difference to the finished effect.  I used textured card for the mounts and although I used bright colours, black always helps them stand out.

I added some black and white Woodware Fancy Twine and some of the Woodware Flower Buttons from the blue set.

The 2 stamps are:

I think these stamps are amazing value too at £1.99 each!!  These are just 2 of the stamps from the new Woodware Clear Magic TIDDLER range of wording stamps.

New from Woodware, today's card is a simple one from me

I thought I would start sharing some of the new Woodware images and with the weather we have had here this week I thought this was quite an apt one to start with.

I made a background using watercolours on Woodware Watercolour Card, stamped the words and floral border with Versa Fine ink before embossing with Stampendous Clear Detail Embossing Powder.  Although Versa Fine is a dye based ink you can emboss with it if you work quickly.

I added some black and white Woodware Fancy Twine and one of the Woodware Flower Buttons from the blue set.

The 2 separate stamps in the set are designed by Francoise Read, the text is very detailed but it stamps out really clearly, you will find it on this link:  May there always be...

All the new Woodware Craft Collection stamps designed by Francoise Read and Jane Gill are available on our website HERE
